Debt market sees trade of Rs 1,638 cr at NSE

The Wholesale Debt Market (WDM) segment of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) today witnessed a total turnover of Rs 1,638.08 crore in 73 trades.
Top securities (non-repo) traded at the WDM were, the 8.08% government securities maturing in 2022, which traded at Rs 345 crore at weighted yield of 8.07%.
The 91-days treasury bills (issue no.110311), which traded at Rs 230 crore at weighted yield of 7.00% and the 8.13% government securities maturing in 2022, which traded at Rs 205 crore at weighted yield of 8.05%.
During the week ended today, the total turnover was Rs 8,055.31 crore and the total number of trades during the week at 336.
The highest amount of trade during the week was at Rs 2,968.49 crore on Mar 1st, while the lowest volume was Rs 1,220.47 crore as on February 28.

This week, the weighted yield on government securities with a maturity period of 0-3 years, 3-7 years, 7-10 years and more than 10 years was quoted at 7.41%, 8.00%, 7.99% and 8.14%, respectively.
The weighted yields on treasury bills maturing within 90 days was 6.93%, it was 7.22% for bills of 91-182 days tenure and 7.52% for bills of 183-365 days' tenure.
During the week, the cumulative value of government securities, treasury bills and state government securities traded on the WDM was Rs 5,296.66 crore, while that of non-government securities was Rs 2,758.65 crore, representing 65.75% and 34.25% of the total traded value, respectively, the NSE release said.
