FIEO sets up trade centre in Sharjah

According to a press release, the India Trade Warehousing, Logistics and Display Hub in Sharjah will have an area of 2,400 sq.metre warehousing facilities and registered as a company in SAIF Zone as a 100 per cent subsidiary of Indian Export Promotion Foundation Trust.
This company will work to promote not only the trade between India and UAE, but also between Middle East and North Africa countries and India. The company has been registered in the name of Indus Trade Services FZE on multi product platform in SAIF Zone as a free zone establishment. It is also supported by government of Sharjah.
FIEO is also seeking an assistance of 50 per cent of rent expenses for the participating companies, the release added.
This offshore hub is expected to encourage SME exporters to set up value added facilities like displaying their products, processing, finishing, assembling and packaging, having their own overseas marketing offices
