Himachal tourism cottons on to X'mas

In an effort to attract visitors for Christmas and the New Year, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Corporation Development Corporation (HPTDC) has announced packages for the last week of December.

"The HPTDC this time has announced a winter discount of 25-40 per cent and special tariff for Christmas and the New Year," said a HPTDC spokesman here today.

"These discounts are being offered in selected locations in Shimla, Manali, Dharamsala, Dalhousie, Kasauli, Narkanda, and Barog, among other places," the HPTDC official said.
