I hope the state remains united: Rajasekhara Reddy

| Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on Monday hinted that he was personally not in favour of an independent Telangana state in the near future. |
| Addressing an investor meeting, organised by the APinvest here, the chief minister reacting to queries from the business community, stated: "The decision on Telagana issue has been left to the Congress high command and other parties that are showing interest in this connection." |
| "I personally believe Telangana coming in the near future is not that bright. However, any decision in this regard will not be a factor in the growth of Hyderabad as the city has surpassed that particular stage," he added. |
| Reddy contended that his government is according priority to the growth of Telangana region. |
| "We hope the state will remain united. Even if there is a split, the industrial growth in Hyderabad region will not be affected," he maintained. |
