IIA unhappy over recent power tariff hike

The Indian Industries Association (IIA), an apex body for micro, small and medium industries in Uttar Pradesh, is unhappy with the power tariffs announced by the Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPSERC) for domestic as well as commercial and industrial consumers.

"It is now increasingly clear that the government is not seriously dealing with the issues concerning industry in UP. A review of the Aggregate Revenue Requirement report (ARR) submitted by the UPSERC had already pointed to the cold response of the government towards the industrial sector.
