IIMT offers foreign diploma

IIMT Bengal launched the School of Management and Entrepreneurship, which will award the BBA honours degree by the Oxford Brookes University.

The programme would incorporate modules which deal in the contemporary business studies like business economics, marketing, communications, interactive business skills, investment and international finance, among others.

The BBA degree is a three-four years programmes. The four-year programme includes a year of industry internship.

The IIMT was supported by corporates""The Ambuja group, The Radisson Edwardian group, Unitech India and Carlson Hospitality World Wide, US.

Harsh Neotia of the Ambuja group however said that his involvement in the project was restricted to investment and infrastructure and the faculty was given full autonomy to run the institute.

Neotia also said that the IIMT Bengal this year had 100 per cent international placements.

Apart from the corporate support and the industry advisory council the institute placement cell would tap all sectors of the industry like the FMCG companies, telecom, biotech and the services sector.
