Iso 9001 For Hzl & #8217;S Zinc Smelter

Hindustan Zinc Limited's (HZL) Zinc Smelter, Visakhapatnam, is accredited with ISO 9001:2000.

According to a press release issued here, the quality management system for manufacturing of primary zinc, cadmium metals and sulphuric acid through hydrometallurgical process.

Apart from Visakhapatnam zinc smelter, two other units of HZL--Debari zinc smelter, Udaipur and Rampura Agucha mines in Bilwara district both in Rajasthan were also bagged ISO 9001:2000 accreditation certification earlier.

RINA SpA of Italy has issued this certificate on March 25. HZL Visakhapatnam is vigorously pursuing to get ISO 14001 for Environment Management Systems in 2003-04, the release added.
