Karnataka to sign MoU with Bavarian govt

The Karnataka government will shortly sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bavarian provincial government of Germany to promote trade and industry in the state.
 
Announcing this at a press meet here on Monday, deputy chief minister B S Yediyurappa, who is just back from a five-day visit to Germany said, a Bavarian trade delegation will visit the state next month to work out the details of the MoU.
 
"We are looking for German investment in small and medium enterprises, engineering, IT, BT and tourism. The response from Bavaria is encouraging," he added.
 
The deputy chief minister met representatives of Audi and Eurocopter. "Eurocopter already has an understanding with Bangalore-based HAL. We are told that Audi is planning an assembly plant in India. We have made various offers to Audi to set up the plant in Karnataka," he added.
 
Yediyurappa attended the Hannover Trade Fair in Germany.
