Kerala Travels Interserve (KTI),a Kerala-based travel agency, has launched Saura Yaathrika, a unique project offering an opportunity to school students to train at the Space Academy, Singapore, a centre of excellence for space and astronomical studies in Asia.
Addressing the media here, K C Chandrahasan, managing director of KTI, said that the new project was the organisation’s first step towards realising the dream of space tourism and is an opportunity to mould the future generation towards it.
Saura Yaathrika presents students from south India an opportunity to get trained under renowned astronauts, astrophysicists and space scientists at the first space academy in Singapore. All expenses of students towards the camp will be sponsored by KTI, according to its executive director Jaya Chandrahasan.

At the camp, training will be conducted by former NASA engineers and scientists. After the camp, students can continue to seek their guidance on school projects, career guidance and future course of study.
Students will be given a certificate and a ‘wing badge’ for completing the camp successfully. Registration forms for the entrance test are available through the Kerala Travels website www.keralatravels.in.
