Our Regional Bureau Ahmedabad
The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi in a meeting with Anil Patel, minister of industry and other senior officials from the government stressed on developing Fast Track Parks (FTP) as a part of state's industrial development policy.

"We need to create special economic zones (SEZs) at par with international standards, especially when they have opened the doors of great opportunities for international trade as well as employment generation in the state. To fuel the industrial growth in SEZs, it is necessary to simplify the land acquiring procedures. We also need to upgrade present standards of GIDC estates," said Modi in a release issued by the state government

Modi and other participants reviewed the present status and progress of proposed seven FTPs and Special Economic Zones (SEZs) across the state for various sectors such as chemicals, textile, automobile spare parts and ceramics on last Thursday at Gandhinagar.

The state government has also decided to commission vocational training centres to train necessary manpower for upcoming FTPs and industrial clusters in the state.
