New chairman of CII South

Navas Meeran, managing director of Eastern Condiments Private Ltd, Ernakulam, has been elected as the chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Southern Region, for 2014 -15.

Meeran was closely associated with the CII and was deputy chairman of CII Southern Region in 2013-14 and was chairman of CII Kerala state council during 2006-07. Also, Rajshree Pathy, chairperson and managing director of Rajshree Sugars and Chemicals Ltd, Coimbatore, has been elected as deputy chairperson. The decision was announced at the first meeting of the re-constituted Southern Regional Council held in Chennai on Tuesday.
