Shishir Prashant New Delhi/ Dehra Dun

Buoyed by the approval of Rs 6,800-crore annual plan, Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today sought Rs 2,000 crore from the Centre after the withdrawal of the special category status to Uttarakhand and also Rs 5,000 crore as green bonus. “We are no more getting grants under the special category status. In most of the cases, these grants are in the ratio of 70:30, 60:40 and 50:50 only. Under this category, the grants are in the ratio of 90:10 (90 per cent grant and 10 per cent loan only),” Nishank told reporters here a day after the planning commission fixed the annual plan size at Rs 6,800 crore.
