Ocimum Bio Inks Pact With Canadian Firm

The Hyderabad-based Ocimum Biosolutions (Ocimum) has entered into an agreement with United Bioinformatica Inc. (UBI), a leading distributor of bio-informatics software in Canada, for distribution of two of its products-- Gencheck and Biotracker.

This is the fourth distributor tie-up Ocimum has entered into, the previous ones being with Bioexchange.Com, Spectrum Research of USA and Sivani Scientific. Genchek is a comprehensive multi-platform Sequence Analysis software package that facilitates analysis of Expressed Sequence Tags (ESTs), Complete Genome, and SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) data and Biotracker is a Laboratory Information Management System for improving laboratory performance.
