Our movement is also about 'maa mati manush': GJM

Press Trust Of India Kolkata

The GJM today used Mamata Banerjee's catch phrase 'maa mati manush' to describe its Darjeeling movement on which, it claimed, a "tentative solution" has been reached.

Lauding the West Bengal chief miister, GJM legislator and spokesman Harka Bahadur Chettri said she had realised that the Darjeeling problem was one of non-development and giving identity to the Gorkhas.

"And thus a tentative solution has been reached," he said."Her movement is 'maa mati manush' (mother, land, people). Even ours is that," he said while speaking in favour of the motion moved on the governor's address.

"We will definitely reach a solution and hope justice will be done," he said.
