Reddy launches Cong poll campaign at Hyderabad

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy today formally launched the Congress party's campaign for the elctions here.

He will start his active campaign from Chevella in neighbouring Rangareddy district in the next few days, he told reporters.

The number of welfare and development schemes launched by his government like Indiramma housing scheme, social security pensions, irrigation projects and Rajiv Arogya Sri health scheme would fetch votes and return the party to power, he said.

"We will win the gold medal. The Opposition parties to decide who will win the silver and bronze medals," he said.

The Congress high command will release the list of party's candidates in another few days.
