Reva Unveils Electric Car, Tag At Rs 2.68 Lakh

Even as Ahmedabad has recently gained the dubious distinction of being the most polluted city in the country, Reva Electric Car Company on Monday launched Reva, an electric car in Gujarat.

The ex-showroom price of the car in the state will be Rs 2.68 lakh.

Company managing director Chetan Kumaar Maini said that the cost of the car will be reduced by around Rs 50,000 if the state government exempts the vehicle from sales tax and road tax.

More than half-a-dozen states have announced exemption of road tax and sales tax for electric cars in a bid to promote non-polluting vehicles.
