Sarin to meet Maran in Barcelona

Arun Sarin, chief executive, Vodafone Group Plc, will meet telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran in Barcelona today, a government spokesperson said.

Vodafone, the world's biggest mobile phone operator by subscribers outside China, beat rival suitors with a bid of $11.1 billion for the controlling stake in Hutch-Essar, the fourth-biggest mobile phone firm in India.
