Earmarking specific funds under Market Access Initiatives scheme and Market Development Assistance scheme for promoting handloom exports.

Duty free import entitlement of specified trimmings and embellishments upto 5% of the FOB value of exports in the preceding year.

Duty free import entitlement of and knotted carpet samples upto 1% of FOB value of exports in the preceding year.

Duty free import of old pieces of hand knotted carpets on consignment basis for re-export after repairs.

New towns of export excellence with threshold limit of Rs. 250 crores to be notified.

Development of a trade mark on lines similar to 'Woolmark' and 'Silkmark' to enable handloom producers develop a niche market with a distinct identity.  These initiatives and facilities are in addition to other facilities available to exporters under the Foreign Trade Policy.
