Snow forecast this week in Himachal

The weather office has forecast wet weather, including snow in the mid and high hills of Himachal Pradesh this week.

The weather office says clouds will start gathering from Monday onwards bringing snow and rain at many places by mid-week .

If the forecast does turn out to be correct and snow falls it could give a fillip to tourism which is currently flagging for some time barring weekend arrivals which continue .

The hill state including the capital Shimla are seeing above normal temperatures for much of December after an unusually cold November.

On Sunday Shimla recorded a maximum of 17 celsius , which is four degrees above normal .

 

Keylong in the tribal Lahaul valley had a freezing night with a minimum of minus 4.3 C . While Manali had a low of 1 C .
