Thanks to Mall Road, Prez Karzai is 'slim and fit'

Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai says he remains fit to this day due to his walking habit on Mall Road here in Himachal Pradesh during his student days.

“I am still slim and trim due to my walking on the Mall Road in Shimla,” Karzai told CNN IBN news channel on Sunday.

“It was the prime time of my life as I was in Shimla from the age of 18 to 24 . I learnt a lot during this formative period here and this has remained with me to this day,”said Karzai.

Karzai attended the Government College and Himachal Pradesh University in Shimla in the 1970s and the early 1980s.

 

On a visit some years ago as President, he was honoured by the HP university. Karzai visited all his old haunts in Shimla.

Walking is a way of life in Shimla particularly in and around the Mall.
