TRIMA-2007 to focus on development of T'puram

Sessions on the theme of 'Thiruvananthapuram Capital Region Development "� A New Vision' would form the main agenda of the annual convention of the Trivandrum Management Association, TRIMA 2007, which will be held on January 27 here.
 
The convention will be inaugurated by Kerala chief minister V S Achuthanandan at the Mascot Hotel in the city.
 
Three technical sessions and paper presentations on themes like 'Thiruvananthapuram as a Knowledge Hub' 'Booming Leisure', and 'Connectivity' will be part of the convention, according to sources. K R S Krishnan, GM (R&D), Hindustan Latex, B N Suresh, director, VSSC, and G Mohan Gopal, director, National Judicial Academy, will speak on 'The Current Scenario - a Macro Analysis', 'Opportunities For the Future' and 'The Role of Higher Education and Research - Support Requirements', respectively.
 
The inaugural session will be attended by Thiruvananthapuram mayor Jayan Babu, V Thulasidas, managing director, Air India, Samuel Paul, former director, IIM, Ahmedabad and M Ayyappan, CMD, Hindustan Latex Ltd.
 
The valedictory session will be addressed by T K A Nair, principal secretary to the prime minister, Pannian Ravindran, MP, and M Vijayakumar, minister of sports and law, E M Najeeb, president, Trivandrum Management Association, and M Ayyappan, CMD, Hindustan Latex.
 
The recommendations arising out of the forum will be submitted to the state and Central governments for consideration, the association said.
