Wall St rises, ADRs mixed; Fed rates unmoved

The US Federal Reserve kept rates unchanged at 5.25% along with no new concerns about inflation, which hinted towards lesser chances of hikes this year.

The Dow Jones industrial average surged 98 points to 12,622. The Nasdaq rallied 15 points to 2464.

The Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. Satyam spurted 1% to $23.28. Infosys, Wipro and HDFC Bank ended with marginal gains. ICICI Bank shed 1.7% to $44.15. MTNL, VSNL and Tata Motors were down over 1% each to $7.39, $21.02 and $20.30, respectively.
