Citibank-Visa Unveils Special Cricket Card

Citibank along with Visa launched the 'Citibank Cricket Visa Card' along with Reebok and Timex as strategic partners.
A part of the spend on this card will be used to support and nurture a 'SuperStarSearch' programme. This programme will begin with the 2002-03 domestic season and will monitor recognised 'Under 15' tournament. The programme will be managed and operationalised by Professional Management Group (PMG) for Citibank.
According to PMG, three players from each of the five zones will be selected according to a point system. These players will then attend an intensive summer coaching camp of two to three weeks which will be under the aegis of renowned cricket coaches. The best among them will be selected by an exclusive panel of coaches and sent overseas to one of the world's leading cricket academics.

According to Citibank India's business manager cards, Atul Malik, Citibank will contribute 0.1 per cent of the spends on these cards to the programme.
"We hope to have around 1,00,000 cards by the year-end," he said. According to Reebok's director Sukhwinder Singh, "There will be exclusive promotions in the shops and through Citibank's website. Reebok has also launched a new cricket shoe which had inputs from Rahul Dravid and Mohammad Kaif. These shoes will be available initially for credit card holders. It has also launched a signature collection of Dinesh Mongia.
According to Timex's regional manager Rajnesh Kumar, the company will allocate some money for the campaign.
