Gilts Droop As Tech-Chary Dealers Sit On Fence

Government security prices fell by 50-70 paise at the longer end today as many market participants opted to stay away on the first day of the shift to screen-based trading in bonds.
Call money rates remained in the range of 6.50 per cent to 6.75 per cent during the day.
Dealers said the sentiment continued to remain good in the government securities market.
