ICICI Bank in pact with BSNL for bill payments

ICICI Bank, the country's largest private sector lender, today said it has entered into an agreement with BSNL Cell One to enable the latter's customers to pay their bills through the bank's website.

Customers would be able to pay from their bank accounts or credit cards, view online electronic summary of their bills and get email alerts before the due date, the bank said in a release.

The bank would also offer online shopping facility wherein customers would be able to pay after shopping online on a merchant's website.

At present, ICICI Bank has agreements with 1,100 merchant websites for online shopping.
