Lakshmi Vilas Bank net up 29%

Karur-based Lakshmi Vilas Bank has reported a 29 per cent increase in net profit during the quarter ended September 30, 2008 at Rs 6.93 crore, as compared to Rs 5.37 crore for the same period last year.

Bank's total income rose by 29 per cent to Rs 172.42 crore from Rs 133.50 crore, a year ago.
