BS Reporter Mumbai

The Union Bank of India, in a corporate strategic announcement stated on the Bombay Stock Exchange that it has changed its corporate logo. The Bank however, will retain its brand promise- ‘Good People to Bank with,’ as it is.

The new logo has letters ‘U’ in an interlock and is termed as the Union Bank interlock. The symbol, the Bank says weaves around the word ‘Union’ from its name and represents integrity, strength and partnership. The colours of the earlier logo, UB at the centre of sun in golden yellow have been replaced with colours red and blue.

The change in the logo is part of the ongoing repositioning exercise the bank has undertaken and the new service values include four promises of value for money, to deliver with committed time, choice of channels and product and pricing.

Union Bank  has added a customer base of over two million annually and has been reinventing its services in an ongoing exercise called Nav Nirman.
