Western Union Ties Up With Andhra Bank

After forging tie-ups with India Post and a slew of banks and financial services organisations, Western Union, a US-based subsidiary of $21 billion First Data Corporation, is planning aggressive growth in the Indian market. The money transfer services company has seen its presence grow from 2,978 agents in 2001 to 8,500 agents across 1,000 towns in the current year, and is targetting to close the year with 10,000 agents.
