It is a matter of great pride that this year-2014, the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs has awarded second prize to the Ministry of Railways under Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Award Scheme. (2012-2013).
On the occasion of Hindi Divas ceremony, the Hon'ble President Shri Pranab Mukherjee gave Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Award to the Ministry of Railways in a glittering ceremony held at President House Auditorium on 14th September, 2014. On behalf of Ministry of Railways, Shri Arunendra Kumar, Chairman, Railway Board, received this shield from the Hon'ble President.
Smt. Ragini Yechuri, Executive Director(Industrial Relations), Shri K.P. Satyanandan, Director , Official Language, Shri Risal Singh, Deputy Director, Official Language of the Ministry of Railways were present on this occasion. This Award, once again, reinforces the commitment of the Railways towards making India better.
