IIM-A's Amaethon to focus on credit availability in agri

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A)'s annual agri-business summit, Amaethon is set to focus on opportunities arising out of credit availability for agriculture sector, among other things. With the theme of 'Breaking Barriers', Amaethon, the sixth such summit at the institute, will also talk about breaking barriers of age old practices and embracing new technologies for innovations in Agri-business.
"Starting on January 22, 2010, this year Amaethon will host eminent speakers discussing the opportunities that agri-business offers to corporate India in the light of new government policies and the credit availability for agriculture sector," the institute's release stated. Spread over three days Amaethon will have three sessions. 'Aliquantis' meaning building the roads to prosperity, 'Audeamus', where we brew the scientific blend to agri-business and 'Capax Infiniti' will talk about bringing business to agri-business.
Amaethon will open its flagship events for the B-school candidates nationally and internationally to test their business and leadership skills. 'CommTrade' is the game for risk lovers where candidates will get to trade on a simulated version of the Commodity Exchange with virtual money. 'Omniscient' aims to bring out decision making skills of individuals through a case study. 'Strategia' aims to help an individual reflect on their potential of being a visionary. It offers the challenge that tests the temperament of the future leaders.
