IIM-C seeks international accreditation

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C) plans to get international accreditation. It is seeking certificates from an American agency, the Association of Advanced Collegiate School of Business , and the European Foundation of Management Development , which hand-out the European Quality Improvement System label.
Dinesh Varma, chief administrative officer, IIM-C, says: “The accreditation will help us gain global access and help in the formation of alliances with international institutes.”
He added a committee comprising external board member Roopen Roy and IIM-C faculty professor Ashish K Bhattacharya has been formed. to take care of expansion plans.
