Similarly, Ronald Institute of Technology (RIT), a private degree engineering college in the town, claimed that 114 students have been recruited by 24 different companies. The institute expects to place around 200 students in the next two months.

Around 35 students of PGDM have been selected for executive positions in at least three private companies including Chenai-based Roland Technologies, New Delhi-based entertainment company HB Entertainment and Kolkata-based Glodyne, said S K Padhy, director of the college.

Personality grooming and soft skill enhancement programmes are the basic things responsible for placement of professional students, Choudhury said.

The students of other institutes like Sanjay Memorial Institute of Technology (SMIT), Kalinga Institute of Technology (KIT) and Berhampur University also participated in the recruitment process, she added.
