Pacific Institute on Indian shores

BS Reporter New Delhi
Lou Tice, one of the highly-respected educators in the world and the founder of the Pacific Institute of USA " an international corporation specialising in performance improvement and professional growth " has big plans in India.

Tice, who was recently on a two-day trip to India, will soon be touching base with Indian companies and academicians through the Pacific Institute India, the Indian chapter of the Pacific Institute.

The institute is looking at forging partnerships with Indian public and private sectorcompanies. It is currently in talks with GAIL, BHEL, Caterpillar and Ford to impart training to the companies' mid- and senior-level executives on new-age management principles.

The institute is in the process of signing an MoU with the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA). Under the MoU, the institute will train IAS functionaries in management principles and governance. The institute is also talking to the Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai.

Tice will focus on educating Indian executives on change management, leadership development and other management principles." The guiding principle of the Pacific Institute is that individuals, during their lifetime, have a virtually unlimited capacity for growth, change and creativity.

The institute teaches how to accelerate individual and organisational potential by changing habits, attitudes, beliefs andexpectations that inhibit high-performance people. This, in turn, allows organisations to achieve higher levels of growth and success," Tice said adding that companies generally approach the institute for training in best thinking, best practices and best userpower.
