French marketing communications group Publicis has split its India digital entity Solutions Digitas into two. The firms — Solutions India and Digitas India — will operate as separate profit & loss centres under its Vivaki agency network, Publicis said.
Digitas India will specialise in digital creative, technology, strategic planning and customer relationship management (CRM) services, while Solutions India will provide clients with retail and experiential marketing services.
Digitas will be headed by Kanika Mathur, who was earlier president, India and South East Asia of Solutions Digitas. Solutions, on the other, will see the appointment of a head shortly.
The move to split the business, according to Publicis, was taken to provide more focused services in digital and experiential marketing respectively.
