One out of five stocks comprising the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) 500 index have rebounded more than 10% from their intra-day lows following a recovery in equity markets tracking strong gains in European shares and rebound in the rupee.
About 100 stocks from BSE500 index have gained over 10% from their intra-day’s lows. Of these 100, stocks 16 have rallied more than 15% each. Further, 206 stocks from the index have soared more than 7% from their intra-day lows.
JSW Holdings, Jagran Prakashan, Shoppers Stop, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, Rajesh Exports, Shipping Corporation of India, BEML, Shriram City Union Finance, Alstom T&D India and Take Solutions are among those that surged over 15% from their early lows.
At 02:10 PM, the S&P BSE 500 index was up 1.3% or 133 points at 10,390, recovering 3.6% from its intra-day low of 10,032. It hit a high of 10,430 so far.
