Alstom Projects surges on bagging plant order

Alstom Projects ended 4.2 per cent higher to close at Rs 100.10 after touching the day's high of Rs 105.
 
The counter was very active on the back of the news that the company has bagged an order worth Rs 240 crore. More than 1,20,000 shares were traded at the BSE.
 
APIL bagged a power plant order, which is its share of a total of the Rs 500 crore order won by the Alstom group.
 
The stock has, however, witnessed a sharp decline over the last few days as the market crashed. From Rs 143.55 on December 30, 2003, the stock lost 32.4 per cent to Rs 96.90 on January 21.
