Barley futures fall on profit booking at higher levels

Barley futures prices receded by Rs 6.60 to Rs 1,247 per quintal today, following profit taking at higher levels against ample supply in physical markets.
Marketmen said increased arrivals and reduced offtake by beer and cattle feed making industries, led to the fall here in barley futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, barley price for delivery in December at Jaipur moved down by Rs 6.60 or 0.53 per cent to Rs 1,247 per quintal, with an open interest of 4,030 lots.
