Cardamom falls almost 2% on weak demand
Adequate stocks influence prices

Cardamom prices fell by Rs 15.40 to Rs 775 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions amid adequate stocks availability in the physical market on account of higher supplies.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November fell by Rs 15.40, or 1.95%, to Rs 775 per kg, with a business turnover of 462 lots.
December cardamom declined by Rs 15.20, or 1.81%, to Rs 820.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 490 lots.
Marketmen said subdued demand at the spot markets and higher supplies from the producing regions kept pressure on the cardamom prices at futures trade here.
