Chana futures rise on spot demand

Chana prices traded marginally higher by Rs 3 to Rs 2,852 per quintal in futures trade today on pick-up in demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in November traded higher by Rs 3, or 0.11%, to Rs 2,852 per quintal, with an open interest of 2,840 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in October rose by Rs 2, or 0.07%, to Rs 2,793 per quintal, with a business volume of 3,200 lots.
Market analysts said pick-up in demand in the spot market helped chana futures prices to trade higher.
