Chana up by 0.5% on spot demand
Commodity for delivery in November traded higher by 0.36%

Chana prices moved up by 0.54% to Rs 3,159 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions supported by a rise in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in December rose by Rs 17, or 0.54%, to Rs 3,159 per quintal with an open interest of 80,110 lots.
Likewise, the commodity for delivery in November traded higher by Rs 11, or 0.36%, to Rs 3,071 per quintal in 51,140 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built-up by speculators on pick up in demand in the spot market helped chana prices to trade higher at futures trade.
