Commodities remain weak on subdued demand

Select commodities extended yesterday's losses and shed Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today due to subdued demand against adequate stocks position. 

Market analysts said sluggish demand against adequate stocks position mainly pulled down select wholesale commodities prices.

In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 200 each to Rs 3,700-4,700 and Rs 4,770-5,170 per quintal, respectively. 

Moong dhoya local and best quality also traded higher by the same margin to Rs 5,200-5,300 and Rs 5,900-6,100 per quintal, respectively.

Arhar and its dal dara variety moved down by Rs 25 and Rs 50 to Rs 3,075-3,575 and Rs 4,600-5,000 per quintal, respectively.

 

Kabli gram small, rajmah chitra (Pune) and (China) were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,350-7,750, Rs 4,050-4,350, Rs 4,100-4,300 per quintal, respectively.

Urad 3,800-4,200, Urad chilka (local) 4,580-4,980, best 5,200-5,700, Dhoya 5,050-5,150, Moong 3,700-4,700, Dal moong chilka local 4,770-5,170, Moong Dhoya local 5,200-5,300 and best quality 5,900-6,100

Masoor small 2,650-2,950, bold 2,800-3,050, Dal Masoor local 3,400-3,500, best quality 3,600-3,900, Malka local 3,300-3,350, best 3,450-3,550, Moth 2,150-2,550, Arhar 3,075-3,575, dal arhar dara 4,600-5,000
