Following reports of a likely fall in edible oils production due to the drought, the commerce ministry has moved a proposal to cut the import duty on oilseeds and crude palm oil (CPO). The proposal, which has already been approved by the food ministry and rejected by the agriculture ministry, was now with the finance ministry, sources said.
