Edible Oil Trade Wants Status Quo In Tariffs

The Central Organization for Oil Industry and Trade (COOIT) has urged the Centre to maintain status quo in tariff on edible oils and allow no concessional imports.

It has also requested the government to put in place an oilseeds and oil development fund to enable increase in productivity, area under oilseeds and oil processing technology upgradation.
