Markets flat in early trades; Sterlite up 2%

The Sensex opened 81 points lower at 15,037, and touched a low of 15,000. The index soon rebounded into the positive zone and touched a high of 15,133. The index is now down 26 points at 15,091.

The NSE Nifty is up a point at 4,525.

Sterlite has moved up 1.7% to Rs 625.

ONGC and Tata Steel have advanced over 1% each to Rs 1,036 and Rs 650, respectively.

Tata Motors has shed 2.8% at Rs 432. HDFC Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra have dropped around 1.5% each to Rs 1,234 and Rs 568, respectively.

Infosys, ICICI Bank and Grasim are down over 1% each to Rs 1,699, Rs 700 and Rs 2,065, respectively.
