Mentha oil falls by 1.1% on weak demand

Higher supplies on increased arrivals mainly led to the downtrend

Mentha oil slide for the third straight day  by losing Rs 6.90 to Rs 840.60 per kg in futures market today on weak demand in the spot market amid higher supplies from producing region.
 
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August slide by Rs 8.90, or 1.05% to Rs 840.60 per kg in business turnover of 580 lots.
 
Similarly, the oil for delivery in September  declined by Rs 8.80, or 1.02% to Rs 854.10 per kg in 106 lots.
 
Market analysts said besides weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market, higher supplies on increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly led an downtrend in futures trade.
