Mercator sails up on vessel acquisition

The share price of one of the private shipping company Mercator Line went up by 6.72 per cent after its post-market announcement of acquisition of a 2006 built vessel 'Dredger' on August 8.

With this, the company aims to diversify into the lucrative gredging space. The stock opened at Rs 49.70 and closed at Rs 52.40 with strong volume of 23.27 lakh shares at BSE.
