NTPC powers ahead on new project buzz

NTPC climbed up 4.39 per cent to Rs 194.90 on news reports about the company's proposal to set up a 2000 mw project jointly with Andhra Pradesh State Power Generation Corporation.

The scrip opened at a price of Rs 187 and went on to touch a high of Rs 195 and a low of Rs 185. A total of 337894 shares of NTPC changed hands at the BSE. The scrip has surged 5.47 per cent since the last one week.
