Rubber Board seeks suggestions to implement schemes

Rubber Board has invited suggestions from all stakeholders for formulating its schemes during 12th plan which will be implemented from 2012-13.
The Board has scheduled a series of consultation meetings with various segments of rubber industry stake holders.
The first meeting would be held here shortly, the Board chairperon Sheela Thomas said, in a statement today.
Renowned agricultural scientist M S Swaminathan would chair the national committee set up to evaluate the programmes implemented by Rubber Board.
The committee comprising experts from different disciplines would critically look into all the schemes, being implemented in the fields of production, processing, marketing of natural rubber and research in rubber, Sheela Thomas said.
She said the evaluation would help to generate inputs for 12th plan schemes. The 11th plan will come to a close in 2011-12.
