Select edible oils up on seasonal demand

Firm conditions continued to prevail on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today, with select edible oil prices rising up to Rs 30 per quintal on the back of stockists and millers demand, driven by festive and marriage season.

Besides, firming trend overseas also supported the upside in select edible oil prices. 

In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and crude palm oil (ex-kandla) remained in better shape and rose by another Rs 20 each to Rs 5,170 and Rs 4,320.

Mustard expeller oil (dadri) in line with general trend also up by Rs 20 to Rs 5,390 per quintal. Mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils followed suit and traded Rs 5 each higher at Rs 735-890 and Rs 890-990 per tin of 15 litre, respectively.

Oilseeds: mustard seed 2,525-2,655 and groundnut seed 2,100-2,850
Vanaspati ghee (15 litres tin) 815-910

Edible oils: Groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) 8,750, groundnut Solvent refined (per tin) 1,450-1,460, Mustard Expeller (Dadri) 5,390, Mustard Pakki ghani (per tin) 735-890, Mustard kachi ghani (per tin) 890-990, Sunflower 6,300

Sesame mill delivery 5,950, soybean Refined mill delivery (Indore) 5,270 Soyabean degum (Delhi) 4,920, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-kandla) 4,310, Cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) 4,650, Palmolein (RBD) 5,170, Rice bran (phy) 3,750 and Coconut (per tin) 1,260-1,310

Non-edible oils: Linseed 4,200, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 8,450-8,550, Neem 3,700-3,800, Rice bran 3,300-3,400 and palm fatty 3,225-3,300

Oilcakes: groundnut de-husk 800-850, sesame 950-1,150, Mustard (new) 1,000-1,025, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175
