Sensex above 11K, up 492pts; ICICI Bank zooms 15%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 290 points 10,818. The index has now regained the 11,000-mark, and is now up 492 points at 11,020.

The index is now up 391 points at 10,919.

ICICI Bank has zoomed over 15% to Rs 420 after several clarifications that there is nothing wrong with the bank.

Jaiprakash Associates has soared 7.7% to Rs 82. Sterlite has surged nearly 7% to Rs 293.

Reliance Communications and Hindalco have rallied 6.5% each to Rs 253 and Rs 86, respectively.

TCS has advanced over 6% to Rs 555. SBI, Reliance Infrastructure, DLF, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Steel are up around 5.5% each.
